A Deep Insight Of Central Vietnam 9 Days 8 Nights

After approximately 1 hour driving from central Hoi An, arrive at the cultural highlight of Central Vietnam, the temple complex at My Son (pronounced Me Sern). The tower temples, which were granted UNESCO World Heritage status in 1999, served as the seat of the Champa Kingdom for most of its existence between the 4th and 13th centuries.

Wander around the crumbling ruins, hearing about the Cham culture, its rulers, and their impressive reign. Take a moment to soak up the serene atmosphere and imagine what My Son was like in its heyday.

Before departing the site, visit a small museum that has some fascinating displays about the Cham era. Then take the 1-hour drive back to Hoi An.

In the afternoon, arrive in the UNESCO-listed Hoi An Ancient Town, renowned for its well-preserved architecture and vibrant cultural scene. Stroll through the charming streets, visit historical landmarks such as the Japanese Covered Bridge, and enjoy the colorful lanterns that adorn the town. You’ll have time to explore local markets, try traditional snacks, and soak in the old-world charm of Hoi An.  Overnight in Hoi An.

Begin your adventure with a comfortable drive to the Ba Na cable car station, where you’ll take a scenic ride on the world’s longest cable car. Soak in the panoramic views of the lush mountains and forests below as you ascend to the Ba Na Hills.

Your first stop will be the breathtaking Golden Bridge, famous for its giant hands lifting the walkway above the clouds. Enjoy a stroll and capture stunning photos before heading to the French Village, a charming replica of a traditional European town, complete with cobblestone streets and Gothic architecture. Explore the local attractions, including the Le Jardin D’Amour flower gardens and the historic Debay Wine Cellar.

After a delightful lunch at a hilltop restaurant, spend your afternoon enjoying the exciting Fantasy Park, with games, rides, and activities suitable for all ages. You’ll also have free time to wander around the village, take photos, or simply relax and enjoy the cool mountain breeze.

End your day with a cable car descent, then return to Da Nang in the late afternoon. Overnight in Da Nang.

After breakfast at your hotel, leave Da Nang for Hue by passing by Hai Van Pass or Hai Van Tunnels, the longest tunnels in Southeast Asia. En route to Hue, visit Marble Mountain and Cham Museum in Danang. Proceed to Hue, enjoy lunch at Lang Co beach or in Hue

On arrival at Hue, visit the Imperial Citadel, from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. On the premises of the citadel fortification, bunkers dating back to Vietnam War time contrast with the peacefulness of the local houses sheltered away from the bustling city.

In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with Hue royal court music. Overnight in Hue.

Breakfast at hotel. The morning involves a boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River for visits to Hue’s best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda, and then visit the elaborate mausoleums of emperors Minh Mang, Tu Duc, and Khai Dinh. Stop on the way to see how conical hats and incense sticks are made. Lunch at a local restaurant in Hue.

In the afternoon, visit by cyclo the garden houses of Ngoc Son, which was the former residence of the Princess Ngoc Son, daughter of Emperor Dong Khanh and the lovely Om Garden House, then visit Dong Ba Market, which is the oldest market in Hue, then free at leisure to go shopping or enjoy the hotel facilities. Due to the long distance, depart at 07:30. Arrive at La Vang Cathedral, a war-damaged site and a national shrine in Vietnam, dedicated to Our Lady of 'La Vang', believed to have appeared there in 1798, after a drive of just over an hour. Proceed to Quang Tri Citadel, a heavily bombarded historic site that serves as a reminder of the devastating conflict. See photographs, war remnants, and artillery at the museum.

Continue north along the Hien Luong Bridge and over the Ben Hai River, which demarcated North and South Vietnam. This area saw some of the heaviest fighting during the American-Vietnam war.  Nearby Doc Mieu Firebase lies just north of here. The base played a pivotal role in the South's defense and was once the command post for calling in airstrikes along the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Journey off the main highway, pass through villages, and skirt along Cua Tung Beach on the way to Vinh Moc. The village found itself tragically positioned in one of the most heavily bombed areas of Vietnam. Visit the 2.8-kilometer network of underground tunnels where more than three hundred people lived intermittently from 1966 to 1971.

Before departing the former DMZ area, make a final stop at Truong Son National Cemetery. Wander amid the tombstones marking the final resting place of some 15,000 Vietnamese soldiers and civilians who perished during the war. Transfer to Dong Hoi at late Evening. Overnight in Dong Hoi

After breakfast, you’ll head towards Phong Nha National Park in Quang Binh.

The trip proceeds to Paradise Cave, known as one of Asia’s largest and longest dry caves. You’ll take a short buggy ride through lush forest before hiking up around 500 steps to the cave entrance. Once inside, immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the cave, featuring formations that resemble a mystical "Heaven on Earth" with unique stalactites and stalagmites.

Head to Paradise Cave, the largest series of caves in Asia that has a popular nickname “Underground Heaven”. You should be ready to be in awe when you see the magnificence of this cave on the first visit.

On the way back to Hue, if time permits, stop at the Hien Luong Bridge and Ben Hai River—important historical sites symbolizing the division of Vietnam along the 17th parallel during the war. Overnight in Hue.
